More Information
  • Apply with a quality natural bristle brush, cloth or foam applicator. The longer the stain is left on the wood, the deeper it will penetrate the wood spores and the darker the resulting color will be. For a light tint, wipe off the excess stain in two or three minutes. For dark, rich color, let the stain stay on for 10 minutes or more.
  • Always wipe off excess stain to remove any that has not been absorbed by the wood. To remove excess stain, wipe across the grain with a clean, lint-free cloth. Before the stain dries, make a final finishing wipe in the direction of the grain.
  • A second coat can be applied to darken the color. To lighten the color, wipe the wood with mineral spirits while the stain is still wet.
